Kakani Shivapuri Nagarkot Trek - 6 Days
This trek offers excellent mountains view of Annapurna ranges, Manaslu mountain ranges, Ganesh Himal ranges , Langtang ranges, Dorje Lakpa, Melung-Tse, Gauri Shankar, Furi Cha-Chui, Lhotse, Everest and many other peaks. It also gives a rich insight into the rural life of the Nepalese people of the Kathmandu valley rim. We highly recommend this trek for those having very limited time in Nepal but want to do a short trek in the mountain. If weather permits, one can see the blossoming of rhododendrons along the ridge of the Shivapuri National Park during the trek. From Nagarkot you can watch a beautiful sunrise and sunset view.
Itineraries
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Kakani (1982m, 29km) & trek to Aaledanda along the ridge of the Shivapuri National park area.
Day 03: Trek Aaledanda to Shivapuri through the forest.
Day 04: Trek Shivapuri to Dhap along the ridge between the Himalaya & the Shivapuri watershed
Day 05: Trek Dhap to Nagarkot between the forest and the village
Day 06: Drive back to Kathmandu
Note: We can combine this trekking with some other activities such as cultural tour, jungle safari, whitewater rafting, bungee jump, paragliding etc.
